Correction  ·  added July 30, 2026

The attribution-coverage figures in this issue were overstated. Contracts our pipeline had explicitly failed to identify, recorded internally as "Manual Review Required", were counted as attributed volume rather than as unattributed. Recomputed from the same data this issue was built on, cross-chain coverage was 89.5%, not the 92.3% stated below.

Per chain, corrected: Ethereum 92.1% (not 95.2%), Base 83.0% (not 85.3%), Arbitrum 85.4% (not 86.5%), Optimism 82.6% (not 83.8%).

The text below is unchanged from what was sent. Every issue from June 28 to July 23, 2026 was affected, by roughly 3 to 4 points. The direction we reported holds: coverage did rise over that period, from 87.8% to 90.6% on the corrected basis, and every chain remained above our 85% internal bar. The cause is fixed and the figure now comes from a single shared definition. Our full corrections log is available on request.

Lead finding

Quote verification breaks down hardest on the long tail

ClearTrace's fork-simulation sampler can only score a quote's accuracy if it can replay the fill on-chain. For the four highest-volume pairs it samples — WETH/USDC, USDC/USDT, WBTC/USDC, and WETH/USDT — that replay succeeds 87–93% of the time. For PEPETO/USDC, a thinner meme-coin route, it succeeds just 36% of the time: fewer than 4 in 10 sampled quotes could even be checked against what actually filled.

AIB/USDC (78% realized) and DOGEUS/USDC (84%) sit in between. The pattern holds across 4,418 non-baseline samples over 9.4 days: verification quality tracks liquidity, and it's worst exactly where routing complexity — and slippage risk — is highest.

Base attribution coverage climbs to 85.3%

Up from 79.9% two weeks ago, on the back of forensic contract labeling. Overall coverage across all four chains: 92.3% (Ethereum 95.2%, Arbitrum 86.5%, Optimism 83.8%), 2,282 custom labels in the corpus. Source: dune_attribution, synced 2026-07-01.

1inch: tightest rated quote, lowest slippage among aggregators

Rated quote gap of 0.01 bps, on-chain slippage of 7.02 bps — 3.5 bps below the Uniswap direct-DEX baseline of 10.54 bps. Source: aggregator leaderboard, generated 2026-07-02.

KyberSwap: heaviest RFQ router, widest rated quote gap

Routes 88.3% of $1M-sized trades through off-chain RFQ — the highest share of any rated aggregator — yet posts a 3.52 bps quote gap, the widest of the cohort. Source: aggregator leaderboard, generated 2026-07-02.

5 of 13 tracked aggregators now quote-accuracy rated

1inch, Uniswap, KyberSwap, Odos, and Paraswap have each cleared ≥30 realized fork-simulated samples across a ≥7-day span. The remaining 8 tracked aggregators are still accruing. Source: aggregator leaderboard, generated 2026-07-02.

ClearTrace · Cross-chain DEX attribution · Data as of 2026-07-02 (quote sampler) / 2026-07-01 (on-chain attribution).
"Realized" = a sampled quote that could be fork-simulated and compared to its actual on-chain fill. Quote-accuracy figures shown are rated (≥30 realized samples, ≥7-day span) unless noted otherwise.
Figures are sourced from on-chain trace data and the ClearTrace live quote sampler — no protocol claims are fabricated.
